This statue is the Guanyin Bodhisattva Riding the Dragon. It is carved from white marble (Han Baiyu marble). The overall shape is exquisite. Guanyin has a dignified manner and flowing robe. Accompanying Guanyin are a boy, a girl, and a divine bird. At the bottom, there seems to be a dragon - shaped mythical beast. The craftsmanship is superb.
The Guanyin Bodhisattva Riding the Dragon implies the safety of descendants, good luck and harmony in the heart. Guanyin Bodhisattva, also known as Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Guanzizai Bodhisattva or Light - Sound Bodhisattva, is one of the Four Great Bodhisattvas.
