This statue represents Guanyin Bodhisattva and is carved entirely from white marble. The figure is pure white throughout, with soft flowing lines and a serene yet dignified expression, embodying the great compassion and boundless vows of Guanyin.
The Bodhisattva is depicted in a standing posture, standing upon a blooming lotus pedestal, symbolising purity, detachment from worldly defilements, and transcendence. Her right hand is raised in the gesture of fearlessness (abhaya mudrā), conveying a vow to protect all beings and dispel their fears; her left hand is gently lifted in the gesture of granting wishes (varada mudrā), symbolising the fulfilment of the virtuous aspirations and prayers of sentient beings.
