Marble Jesus Sculpture

This statue of Jesus, titled Jesus Calvary Cross, is carved from white marble and stands 4 metres tall. The composition includes three parts: Jesus on the cross, the Virgin Mary, and two other virgins. The sculpture was created based on Western Christian oil paintings, with clay modelling by the sculptor, followed by a fibreglass model and hand-carving in marble, then polished. The figures are vividly expressive, with well-proportioned forms. It has now been shipped and installed outside a church in Canada.
