This is a monumental sculpture located in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia, China, known as the “Horqin Cultural Pillar”. The entire structure is meticulously handcrafted from grey granite.
The central pillar stands at a total height of 25 metres, with a diameter of 2.5 metres, presenting a tall and solemn form. The surface is adorned with intricate bas-relief carvings that reflect the rich regional culture and strong ethnic characteristics of the Horqin people. At the top, a sculpture of a mounted warrior drawing a bow symbolises the bravery and freedom of the nomadic peoples of the steppe.
